Overview
If your superpower wish is to be invisible, you might want to reconsider. Sure, it sounds convenient when you’re trying to dodge chores, skip a test, or avoid drama. But feeling like you don’t matter? That’s not a strength—it’s a silent ache. I know the longing to feel noticed and known. After a breakup left me questioning my value, I threw myself into striving—chasing achievement, admiration, and outward perfection—until it led me into an eating disorder. And I’m not alone. For over two decades, I’ve walked alongside young women who are asking the same deep questions: Who am I really? Do I belong? And how do I know what voice to follow?
It’s easy to look for direction in grades, relationships, or social media, but those things weren’t built to guide us. From Him, Not Them invites readers into a more grounded way of living—where peace doesn’t depend on performance, and identity isn’t up for debate. This book explores how misplaced effort wears us out, how emotions can be misleading, and why trying to manage life on our own never leads where we hoped.
Whether you’re a young woman facing these questions or someone walking alongside her, this book offers encouragement for the journey. It’s a reminder that your worth doesn’t have to be earned, and your future doesn’t have to be figured out alone. There is grace, clarity, and real help available when we look to God instead of everything else.

From Him, Not Them is the kind of book I wish every young woman could keep in her back pocket as she navigates identity, purpose, and the ache for belonging. Tracy Harper writes with the kind of raw honesty and spiritual clarity that disarms shame and invites healing. This is not just a guide—it’s a companion for the woman who’s been performing, people-pleasing, or quietly unraveling while trying to hold it all together. Tracy reminds us that the peace we crave doesn’t come from perfection, achievement, or approval—it comes from deep reliance on a faithful God who sees us fully and loves us anyway. If you’re ready to stop chasing validation and start living rooted in truth, this book is your invitation.

From Him, Not Them is inspiring, biblically grounded, and full of relatable examples. It highlights both everyday struggles and deep heartbreak that many young women face today. The world sells alluring messages about security, love, satisfaction, and happiness in lesser things. But don’t be distracted or persuaded. As readers journey through this book, the Holy Spirit’s flame will begin to burn brighter within them. By the end, they’ll feel a passion to take what they’ve received from Him, not them and pour it out in service to God. Not from people-pleasing. Not from obligation. But from the overflow of God’s profoundly perfect love for them. This book will easily spark a new catchphrase—From Him, Not Them—a reminder among high school and college-aged young women that Christ is all they need.
