About the authors

Carolyn West

Carolyn West works with the Women’s Resources Team at Cru’s global headquarters in Orlando, Florida. Although a Texas girl at heart, she has served in ministry with Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) for over 40 years, starting in Oklahoma City’s high school ministry, and then on the campuses of Harvard University, Rutgers, and Dartmouth College. She and her husband Chris have three grown children: Caleb, Sophia, and Daniel. Carolyn loves pouring into God’s people, hosting a lively party, creating delectable food for people to enjoy, and curling up with a good book.

Judy Douglass

Judy Douglass, the wife of Steve Douglass, former president of Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ International), serves as global director of Women's Resources. A native of Dallas, Texas, Judy is a graduate of The University of Texas with a degree in journalism. She has served as Editor of two Cru magazines, authored seven books and speaks all over the world. Judy is a writer, speaker, encourager, advocate. She loves to encourage God's children-especially His daughters-to be and do all God created them for. She blogs regularly and is the founder and host of Prayer for Prodigals, an online community for those who love someone who is making destructive choices. She has been in full-time ministry with Cru for over 60 years. Judy lives in Orlando, Florida and has three children and ten grandchildren.
